Changes to physical media formats

17 Sep 2012

Changes to supported physical media for PCT-EASY filings and electronic submissions of nucleotide and/or amino acid sequence listings.

Due to ongoing changes in the types of physical media available and in use, we are expanding our range of supported physical media by accepting CD-R and DVD-R, while also removing the obsolete 3.5” 1.44 MB diskette as an option.

These changes will come into effect from 16 October 2012.

The physical media types accepted by us will become CD-ROM, CD-R, DVD and DVD-R.

This change complies with the PCT Administrative Instructions, Annex F, Appendix III, paragraph 2(e).

Please refer to pages pages 118-119 of the Official Notices of the PCT Gazette.
