Update on e-Commerce capabilities and Approved Means
27 Sep 2012
Revised release date for the delivery of new eServices and B2B applications due to finalising development and testing.
We had anticipated that the capability to lodge new applications for all IP rights would be available in the eServices and Business to Business (B2B) channels by 1 October 2012. Unfortunately, finalising the development and testing of these new capabilities has taken longer than expected and the revised date for the delivery of the new applications in these channels is now late October 2012. This reflects our commitment to delivering a quality product and we regret any inconvenience caused.
To assist customers to transition to the capabilities when they become available, a series of interactive user guides for all new eServices applications are available and for B2B customers we are now able to process test files. Customers can contact us if they require detailed information about the upcoming release.
Further to this, the Commissioner and Registrar have specified that for the purpose of filing a new patent or trade mark application, the approved means will include our existing Online Services from 1 October 2012 to 1 December 2012. This is in addition to our published article about Approved Means on 31 August 2012.
