Let Wallace & Gromit welcome you to a world of quirky inventions with their popular exhibition opening at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney on 15 December 2012.
Showcasing innovation and creativity in everyday life, Wallace & Gromit's World of Invention also highlights the important link between invention and protection for intellectual property (IP).
Sponsored by IP Australia, this exhibition has been a resounding success since it first opened at Melbourne's Scienceworks in May this year. More than 86,000 visitors have enjoyed the world-famous duo's West Wallaby Street domestic charm during the exhibition's six-month stay in Victoria.
You will be able to walk through different rooms in Wallace and Gromit's "house", interact with real and imaginary innovations, learn about important Australian inventors and discover how IP rights work in practice. Everyone will also be encouraged to get creative and invent a household gadget as part of their visit.
IP Australia has worked with the Powerhouse Museum to inspire a new generation of Australian inventors who understand how to use IP rights to protect their inventions. We will also be organising a number of events, competitions and activities associated with the exhibition so keep an eye on our website for details!
