ACIP invites submissions on the innovation patent system

The Advisory Council on Intellectual Property (ACIP) is now inviting submissions on the innovation patent system from interested parties.

ACIP has released an issues paper to encourage discussion around the effectiveness of the innovation patent system, follow on innovation as a result of the initiative and penalties for infringement among other topics.

Discussion around these topics will assist ACIP in conducting wide-ranging public consultations.

The closing date for receiving submissions is 14 October 2011.
