It's now easier than ever to access information about intellectual property (IP).
IP Australia has listened to customers and given its website a major overhaul. Relevant, accessible, and written in plain English, the site now offers users a host of new features such as;
- learning tools to help choose the right IP,
- step-by-step guides through the application process, and
- simple path flows from beginners to experts.
Small business owners can often under-estimate the power of IP and not realise it's an asset with potential to grow their business. The new website is a great opportunity to learn more about IP.
IP Australia's information is also now more accessible to a wider audience including users with disabilities, such as vision impairment. Vision Australia deemed the new website AA compliant well ahead of the mandatory 2014 deadline for Government agencies.
In today's knowledge economy, competing on price may be increasingly difficult. However, great brands, designs and inventions give businesses a competitive edge. That's why IP is so important.
