Getting a handle on innovation and IP
22 May 2012
Intellectual property is big news in global business but in the small business sphere there are many who would benefit from a better understanding of the concept.
The Australian Government’s small business website always a great source of information, has added a further string to its bow with a new section on all aspects of innovation and intellectual property (IP) rights.
This recent addition to an already invaluable site acknowledges the important role of IP in the innovation process. It has valuable links to federal and state government innovation, commercialisation and IP initiatives.
Working on the premise that those who help themselves will be the wiser for it, the new web page links to resources like Intellectual Property Explorer. This handy tool is designed to help businesses identify, collate and protect their IP assets.
There are also links to innovation and IP case studies. It’s a treasure trove of information and advice for getting a handle on how innovation and IP go hand in hand – and how that can benefit small business.
