IP Reform - Multiple Software System Changes

Australian Official Journal of Patent on 14 March 2013.

6 Mar 2013

The scheduled 2 March 2013 changes to eServices, B2B and AusPat, in preparation for the Raising the Bar Act 2012 commencement, were not deployed on the weekend.

As a result, we did not implement the planned changes and the affected systems listed above are currently running in the same way as they were on Friday 1 March 2013.

We have rescheduled the release for the 23 March 2013 at that time we will be making the necessary preparatory changes required for the introduction of the IP Law Amendment (Raising the Bar) Act 2012. The Act comes into full effect on 15 April 2013.

The integrated nature of our systems has meant that we will make two legislative changes visible from 23 March. The terminology applied to Patents will change from 'sealed' to 'granted', the 'Statement of Entitlement' tick box will be moved in eServices and B2B.

The changes being made on 23 March 2013 affect Patents only.
