Non-Ongoing (Temporary) Employment Registers
IP Australia maintains several non-ongoing (temporary) employment registers to assist in filling short-term temporary vacancies (from several weeks up to 12 months). Interested individuals are invited to apply.
Currently IP Australia maintains three Registers:
Eligibility
To be eligible for non-ongoing employment applicants must be Australian citizens and have not received a redundancy benefit from an APS agency or a non-APS Commonwealth employer in the past 12 months.
Note: Applicants for the non-ongoing Examiner of Patents Register must also have had previous experience as an Examiner of Patents with IP Australia and have held the Commissioner of Patents Acceptance Delegation.
Salary and Conditions of Engagement
The salary and conditions of engagement for most non-ongoing employment will be based on IP Australia and Union Collective Agreement 2008-2010.
Applicants offered a long term contract (from 6 - 12 months) may be subject to a probationary period.
Positions may be available as full time, part time or casual depending on the employment opportunity.
How to Apply
Applicants should complete and submit an online application form for each register you wish to be considered for. The online application form provides details of your area of interest, recent employment history, skills and experience.
Applications for the registers will be accepted at any time and will remain valid for 12 months. An updated application must be submitted after this time to re-register your interest.
Please note: There is no guarantee that you will be offered employment while you are registered.
Contact Details
Administration of the registers is undertaken by the Recruitment Services Team.
