International trade marks

We have an International Trade Mark Fee Calculator that can work out how much an international application will cost in Australian dollars. If you are paying directly to the International Bureau, you must use the WIPO fee calculator to calculate the amount due in Swiss francs. Additional fees associated with Madrid service requests:

Madrid

Item/ActionFee
Madrid Import Application $420
Madrid Import Application (additional classes) $420
IP Australia handling fee AU$100
Basic fee 653 Swiss francs or 903 Swiss francs where there is any colour in the representation of the trade mark
Supplementary fee 110 Swiss francs for each extra class over three classes. Note: If all designated countries require individual fees, the supplementary fee does not apply
Complementary fee(s) 100 Swiss francs for each designated country, unless the country requires an individual fee
Individual fee(s) Currently a large number of countries have individual fees. The list of individual fees is available on the WIPO website

Payment of 2nd part of a filing fee

Some individual countries have nominated to receive their fees in two payments. The requirement for a 2nd part of the individual fee will be notified to you by WIPO.
You can lodge payment direct with WIPO using their E-payment system.

If the decision is made to pay through us it is important to note that we do not receive notification that a 2nd part payment is required. Due to this we require the information on the request is relayed to us with payment. Essentially the amount of CHF required and the due date.

It is required that our fee calculator  be used to calculate the fees required in AUD. You must ensure that the CHF displayed in the results matches that request on the notification.

Note: Payment must be deposited into WIPO's bank account in order for it to be considered received. Due to this requirement we will not accept payments that are received within 2 weeks of the due date, as office processing requirements cannot guarantee payment can be transmitted to WIPO in time.
