Bilateral Agreements and Arrangements
This section covers bilateral agreements as well as other arrangements that include substantive IP clauses that Australia has entered into for example, Free Trade Agreements and Memorandum of Understanding that IP Australia has concluded with IP Offices in other countries or organisations.
Free Trade Agreements
A wide range of regional trade initiatives have recently been finalised;
- The Singapore - Australia Free Trade Agreement
- The Thailand - Australia Free Trade Agreement
- The Australia - United States Free Trade Agreement
- The Australia - China Trade and Economic Framework
- The Australia - Japan Trade and Economic Framework
- The Australia – Chile Free Trade Agreement
The Government is currently pursuing a number of regional trade initiatives with Japan, China, India, Malaysia, the Gulf Cooperation Council ASEAN and New Zealand.
