Some IP Australia State Offices provide
facilities for searching Australian patents, trade marks and designs. Please
Note: The majority of our holdings are either already available electronically
or are being backcaptured.

Office hours are 9 am-5 pm, weekdays, except for public holidays.
In Canberra, members of the public can access these services through the IP
Australia Library, which maintains a collection of official patent, trade mark
and design journals and gazettes from most countries with an intellectual property
system. The Library also holds books and periodicals on science, technology
and intellectual property. These holdings are listed on Kinetica and can be
searched in libraries throughout Australia.
IP Australia also maintains an online library which
contains documents in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF) for online reading or downloading.
