Initial registration is for 10 years from the filing date. It can be renewed within 12 months before or after its expiry date. Renewal notices are sent out 2 months before the expiry date. Renewal occurs upon receipt of the fee. Late fees apply if renewal occurs after the expiry date. The registration can be renewed indefinitely.
