Administrative Records

Purpose

 

Enable IP Australia to meet its accountability requirements to the Australian Government by providing an effective history of transactions and decisions made in relation to the administration of IP Australia.

 

Content

 

All information associated with business activity related to the administration of IP Australia. Includes, information generated by all business areas excluding information held by other recordkeeping systems such as the IP rights recordkeeping systems and the financial management information system and the HR information management system.

 

Access and Security

 

The public may access administrative records via freedom of information, depending on whether the record is exempt from access. IP Australia staff have access to administrative records.

Access to sensitive or classified administrative information is limited to staff with an appropriate security clearance and who have a need to know.
