Intellectual Property Government Open Data (IPGOD)

Purpose

IPGOD is a publicly available set of IP Australia’s administrative data dating back to the early 1900s. It contains information on each aspect of the application process from application through to the granting of IP rights. It can also be interrogated to find out where innovation has occurred by geographic location, business size and technology.

IPGOD is currently released with updates on an annual basis occurring each April. The data is of value to IP researchers and professionals, and supports the development and implementation of policies associated with intellectual property in Australia.
