SNIPER (Searchable Networked Intellectual Property Electronic Resource)

Purpose

 

SNIPER is a bibliographic database that provides an ongoing knowledge infrastructure to support policy and awareness of intellectual property matters in IP Australia.

 

Content

 

Information relating to IP Australia’s core business areas of patents, trade marks, designs and plant breeder’s rights both in Australia and internationally.  Information relating to copyright and circuit layout rights are also included if they relate to significant Australian or international developments. Records contain an author and source details, an abstract, and subject headings from the Australian Intellectual Property Thesaurus. Links are provided to full text scanned and online articles.

Available to all IP Australia staff.  External access to SNIPER is available via EDS at http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,guest&custid=ns011453.... Due to copyright restrictions, access to full-text articles is not available to the general public.
