Trade Marks Office Manual of Practice and Procedure

Purpose

 

The Manual was originally developed to assist Trade Marks staff in implementing the provisions of the Trade Marks Act 1995 and the Regulations. The Manual was first issued in January 1996.

 

Content

 

The Manual contains detailed information on practices and procedures relating to aspects of the filing, examination, and registration of a trade mark. It also includes the Quality Policy and Examination Quality Standards.

 

Access and Security

 

All staff have access to the Manual.

 

This manual should be available to the public under IP Australia’s information publication scheme.
