We are committed to supporting students from the ACT Region in their studies and transition into working life through the IP Australia Work Experience Program (WEP).
The program is facilitated by the Department of Education and Training and is based upon the ACT-WEX program guidelines and requirements 2015.
Applications are open to all ACT region based students in year 9 to 12.
What's on offer?
We currently have a variety of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) based opportunities on offer.
These opportunities are offered by our Innovation and Technology Group (ITG).
In short, the vision for ITG is to deliver and manage information and technology to enable our business.
Below are some examples of areas in which placements may be available:
- Service Delivery (IT Help Desk, Service Centre support)
- Infrastructure Services ( Database administration, data networks, backup and storage systems, voice services)
- Program/Project Office (Program & Project administration and support)
- Communication & Change Management (Communication & Change strategies, activities & coordination)
How do you apply?
The first step to applying for a work experience placement is to contact your schools work experience coordinator. Your coordinator will be able to assist you in figuring out which area(s) would be most appropriate or which you would prefer to be placed in.
IP Australia will endeavour to assist in your request wherever possible based on the availability of suitable placement activities and supervision.
