What makes collaboration between researchers and businesses successful? How can start-ups use research and technology to grow their business? How can these groups protect and harness intellectual property (IP) to innovate together?

To help answer these questions we are inviting researchers, entrepreneurs, business leaders, policy makers and investors to join us for a conversation about innovation, commercialisation and entrepreneurship.


Sheila Donnelly, Senior Lecturer, University of Technology Sydney 
Sheila will talk about her experience in commercialising her research findings with start-up, Helmedix.

Kevin Restrick, Supervising Examainer of Patents, IP Australia 
Kevin will talk about the value of the IP system for research and commercialisation.

Niklas Olsson, Director of Operations and Marketing, Premonition 
Niklas will discuss the intersection between commercialisation, technology and IP from an industry perspective (particularly for the start-up community).

Petra Andren, CEO, ATP Innovations 
Petra is the MC for this event.
