What is the IPSDM conference?
The IP Statistics for Decision Makers conference (IPSDM) is a two day conference that will examine how intellectual property data, statistics and analysis are used and can be used to inform decision-makers in both the public and private sectors. It also aims to identify key information needs and possible shortcomings and discuss the latest empirical evidence based on IP statistics.
This year’s IPSDM conference takes place in Sydney, Australia, 15-16 November 2016.
Who is organising the conference?
The conference is organised by the OECD and IP Australia in cooperation with the EPO, Eurostat, JPO, KIPO, NSF, OHIM, UK-IPO, USPTO & WIPO.
IP Australia is the Australian government agency responsible for administering intellectual property (IP) rights and legislation relating to patents, trade marks, designs and plant breeder's rights.
When will the conference be held?
The conference will begin on Tuesday 15 November and conclude on Wednesday 16 November 2016.
Where will the conference be held?
The conference will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney. The address for the venue is 199 George Street, Sydney NSW Australia 2000. A conference rate will be offered for hotel rooms as part of the registration, and the rate will be available from Sunday 11 November to Friday 19 November. However, rooms are limited and must be booked before 10 October.
