Improving our customer correspondence for designs

We recently announced that IP Australia is improving our customer correspondence across all intellectual property rights to create a seamless customer experience and align our correspondence with our website, online services and search systems.

Following on from the successful redesign of our patents, plant breeder rights and trade mark correspondence, customers can expect to receive the new-look electronic correspondence for designs from 1 May 2017.

We are establishing different correspondence streams for two customer segments, high and low volume filers, to better meet the requirements of our customer base and tailor the information according to their differing needs. Customers will be identified as either a high or low volume filer, if you would like to receive the alternate version of the correspondence, please contact us on 1300 65 10 10 or by using our online form.

To keep our customers informed of these changes, we will publish regular updates on our social media and in the Australian Official Journal of Designs before changes commence.
