Public consultation has now closed on the proposed changes to the Patents Regulations 1991, the Trade Marks Regulations 1995, the Designs Regulations 2003 and the Plant Breeder’s Rights Regulations 1994 to bring Australian and New Zealand patent attorneys together under a single regulatory framework (the ‘trans-Tasman patent attorney regime’).

Further information on the consultation, and copies of the submissions received, are available on the page Public consultation on proposed regulations to implement a trans-Tasman patent attorney regime under the Intellectual Property Laws Amendment Act 2015.
