Following the announcement of the investment to support a second WIPO-Australia FIT program, the final arrangements were signed by Francis Gurry, WIPO Director General and Ambassador Hamish McCormick, Australia’s Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Through the FIT program, Australia supports projects in least developed and developing countries to build capacity across the full spectrum of intellectual property (IP).

IP Australia is proud to continue our work with WIPO and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), which will allow our partner countries to develop their IP systems and enhance their capacity to use IP to aid economic development.
