'Today has been another step in IP Australia’s commitment to its innovation agenda', said our Director General Patricia Kelly as she announced a new innovation panel of providers to accelerate innovative service delivery.

'As part of the Australian Government’s transformation agenda, public sector organisations are increasingly expected to rethink service provision and work collaboratively with the community and private sector to deliver innovative solutions to complex issues.'

'The new procurement panel for innovation is ready to support the public sector’s efforts to accelerate innovative solutions including service delivery redesign or prototyping digital solutions' said Ms Kelly.

ThinkPlace and Ernst & Young have been selected to provide expertise to enable public sector innovation, design and ICT solution delivery.

This panel is the outcome of an open tender process that enables all Commonwealth agencies to flexibly access these companies.

We will make use of the panel to progress initiatives to improve how it supports and enables the Australian innovation system with a strong focus on supporting small to medium Australian businesses to protect their IP rights.
