Your reference

Your reference allows you to enter a unique reference of your choice. You can use any combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters.

This reference can be used by you to identify this eServices transaction.

If you complete multiple items within a transaction, for example you submit two renewals and pay for them in a single transaction, eServices will only record one 'Your reference'; this will be the last reference that you entered.

Selecting the payment type

There are four payment type selections available within the 'General Payment' service.

Pay an Invitation to Pay

Complete this payment type to pay an outstanding Ivitation to Pay (ITP) for a Patent or Design. The ITP documentation will contain a reference number (Patents reference number format is - PTP-123456789 and Designs reference number format is - 123,000,123). This reference number must be entered prior to adding the transaction to your cart.

Pay an Invoice

Complete this payment type to pay an outstanding invoice. For e.g request for IP right documents. The invoice number must be entered prior to adding this transaction to your cart.

All PBR invoices must be paid using the 'Pay outstanding fee for an IP right' option.

You will need to provide payment instructions and/or upload an attachment to complete the transaction. Payment options forms (containing alternate payment details) will not be accepted as an attachment.

Pay an oustanding fee for an IP Right

Complete this payment type to pay an outstanding fee for an IP right. This payment option should be used to pay an outstanding fee for an IP right where an ITP or payment invoice has not been issued. For E.g; to pay the balance of an underpaid fee.

You will need to provide payment instructions and/or upload an attachment to complete the transaction. Payment options forms (containing alternate payment details) will not be accepted as an attachment.

Other payment

Complete this payment type for any payment that is not applicable to the above transactions or any other available eServices requests.

Payment details

The payment details field must be completed prior to adding the transaction to your cart. The these details include; IP right type, ITP reference number, total fee amount, invoice reference number and IP right number.

Attachment

You can attach one of the following file formats: PDF (.pdf), TXT (.txt), DOC (.doc, .docx). The file can not exceed 20MB in size.
