Since becoming nationally accredited in January 2013, I've conducted many mediations in predominantly commercial and employment matters. I've mediated matters both with and without lawyers present. I'm a panel mediator for Consumer and Business Affairs, the Adelaide Magistrates Court, and Return to Work SA. I'm on the list of mediators for the South Australian government insurer and for the Law Society of South Australia. I also undertake mediations privately.

Specialist experience and qualifications
I have a general understanding of IP issues from my 24 years as a dispute resolution lawyer in commercial matters. In the matters I've mediated, the parties have reached agreement in 21 of the 23 matters.
Given my 24 years' experience as a litigation lawyer, I bring a commercially realistic approach to mediation. I know first-hand the costs consequences of proceeding to court, in terms of not only monetary costs, but also time and health costs on parties. This experience greatly assists in reality testing with the parties and in taking the parties through the best and worst alternatives to a negotiated agreement (BATNA and WATNA) during the mediation. As a result, parties can factor in the real costs in proceeding and more easily make decisions regarding proposed settlement options.
