IP Australia is currently consulting on proposed changes to ensure a more modern and accessible Australian design rights system. The proposed changes would introduce protection for virtual designs, partial designs and incremental improvements to designs.
The consultation period commenced on 13 June 2023 and will end on Sunday 13 August 2023.
