Our evolving visual identity

Working on the web project is really exciting for a number of reasons, but the main one for us is the thought process behind web design and how the visual elements of our new website link with our broader visual identity.

Even though we are a government agency, we (IP Australia) rely on our corporate image as much as any other organisation to portray our identity, as well as the services and experiences it offers.

What you told us

From our research you (our customers) told us that our live site was difficult to move around because the visual cues we provided weren’t doing their job.

We took your views on board and updated our look and feel. We’ve created simple icons to help you find different kinds of information and to let you know, from a quick glance, what different segments on a page are talking about. We’ve also updated our colour palette with brighter, fresher colours and our photos will allow you to connect with the topic being discussed without distracting from it.

What you think

We’d like to know if you think we’ve hit the mark.

What do you think of the icons, the photos and the colours?

Do they help you find information across our beta website?

Please add comments below to let us know what you think.
