Trade mark number:
At the time of filing, this trade mark was owned by Cattle Council of Australia Inc. Cattle Council of Australia’s website notes that they are ‘the peak producer organisation representing Australia's beef cattle producers’.

The rules governing the use of this registration are largely concerned with livestock that may have an adverse effect on the integrity of the Australian meat and livestock industry.

The rules are also identified as Pasturefed Cattle Assurance System (PCAS).

The rules note that the animals to be certified should indeed have been fed on pastures and are (depending on each mark) free of hormonal growth products and antibiotics by dint of never having been treated with them.

Audits also make sure the cattle can be traced as such.
