The rules governing the use of this registration certify the following 4 points:
- Products sold from or brought into the place of business must be strictly Halal, and be confirmed as such with appropriate packaging and labelling etc.
- Business premises, having previously been associated with pork or pork-related products, must be ritually cleansed by someone qualified to do so.
- Cross contamination between Halal and non-Halal foods, premises, equipment and utensils should be avoided.
- All places of business must have a suitable number of Muslim staff who are familiar with Halal standards and are capable of maintaining them.
