
The Australian Paint Approval Scheme (APAS) accreditation is administered by the CSIRO Division of Manufacturing and Infrastructure Technology. APAS auditors will seek to obtain evidence to show the applicants expertise, facilities and systems are of a sufficient standard in the following areas:
- an effective, dynamic, quality management system audited by a third party.
- effective control over formulations to ensure performance properties are not affected by any necessary changes; such changes are properly investigated authorised and implemented; formulation recording keeping is satisfactory;
- adequate level of technical assistance is provided to the Licensee;
- proper investigation of complaints and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventative action.
