The Freshcare trade mark promotes the fresh produce food safety management program developed by the Australian fresh food industry.

Certification under the Freshcare trade mark is available to producers of fresh food that comply with the Freshcare food safety management program. Its purpose is to:

  • build on the strong quality reputation of the Australian fresh produce industry
  • meet customer expectations about handling and presentation of fresh produce
  • ensure participants achieve industry accepted food safety standards and agricultural practices
  • ensure a solid self-regulatory basis on which the industry can grow and prosper in the future
