The Coal River Valley (CRV) trade mark was established to promote wine and wine grapes produced and grown in the Coal River Valley region of Tasmania.

Cases where the goods (wine and wine products) may be certified:

Wine and wine products must be:

  • Made from at least 85% grapes grown in the defined area of Coal River Valley
  • Made and bottled by recognised licensed wine making establishments situation in the Coal River Valley

The Coal River Valley is defined as: all that area in South East Tasmania which can be shown to drain naturally into the Coal River or its estuary, and includes but is not confined to the established towns of Cambridge, Dulcot, Richmond, Campania and Colebrook.
