AusPat quick search

This transcript is for the video AusPat Quick Search.

AusPat is IP Australia’s comprehensive search system for information on Australian patents.

AusPat has three search interfaces. This video provides an overview on how to conduct searches using the quick interface

The Quick Search interface finds records for specific applications by searching for the application number, applicant or inventor name, or keywords from the title or abstract.

Start by entering a word or application number into the search box. For example “burner”.

To include the text of the abstracts in the search, tick the "Include abstract text" box and click search.

To open a new Quick Search, or move to the Structured Search interface, click on the links at the top of the screen.

For more information on AusPat searches refer to the User Guide under Learning.

To provide feedback use the feedback link or contact IP Australia at patentsearch.feedback@ipaustralia.gov.au or on 1300651010
