A new Patent Examination Hub is being established in Melbourne. The key objective of this initiative is to establish a viable, effective patent examination section in Melbourne in order to attract and retain suitable patent examiners to deliver additional examination capacity. The Melbourne Hub will focus on technologies where we are facing the greatest resource gaps, namely, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry and electronics.
