Melbourne:

Melbourne World IP Day Event

The event is a collaboration of all Victorian Universities. It involves an exhibition of university capabilities, expertise, personnel and a series of themed seminars. The exhibition showcases innovation from all Victorian universities and related spin-off companies, sponsors and other collaborating organisations, such as IP Australia and provides an opportunity to encourage interaction. The themed seminar series brings together panels of experts presenting concise overviews of university innovations that have delivered business solutions.

Perth:

Perth World IP Day Event

This seminar will review the place of Trade Marks and Copyright in the overall Intellectual Property landscape. As part of World IP Day this informative and interactive session will provide practical insights in to how effective use of the trade mark and copyright system can benefit business operators.

With the theme of the seminar being "Encouraging Creativity", a leading Trade Mark Attorney and an IP Lawyer will provide valuable information that can be used to capitalise on the value of your IP. In addition to maximising the IP assets of the business the seminar will examine how to avoid infringing the trade mark or copyright of third parties and avoiding costly litigation.

Adelaide:

Adelaide World IP Day Event

IP Australia, The Centre of Innovation and the Salisbury Business and Export Centre are working together to provide an IP exhibition highlighting the local South Australian capabilities. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the IP questions they've always wanted to and at the end of the event walk away with an understanding of how IP protection has been important to Australian business development and how it can impact them.

Northern Territory:

NT World IP Day Event

Sydney World IP Day Event

April 26 is World Intellectual Property (IP) Day, making the Australian Technology Park Showcase for 2007 a perfect opportunity to explore and celebrate intellectual property's role in innovation. This year's theme - Encouraging Creativity - focuses on stimulating and safeguarding the forces of creativity and innovation.

As part of our celebration, this year's ATP Showcase 2007 and World IP Day seminar series will include:

• IP Enforcement and Commercial realities
• Converting Ideas to IP
• IP Management and Licensing
• Understanding the End Game/Valuing IP

Please note that the seminars are free; however there is a cost to attend the Networking lunch of $55.

Hobart:

Hobart World IP Day Event
