We are currently seeking input from interested parties on proposed changes to Australia’s IP legislation.

The measures proposed in the draft legislation include the second set of legislative measures in response to the Productivity Commission’s inquiry into Australia’s IP arrangements. In addition to these measures, the exposure draft legislation also includes a number of other IP issues, including changes to Crown use and compulsory licensing that IP Australia has previously consulted on in 2017.

We invite you to provide a written submission on the draft legislation by 31 August 2018. Further information (including details on how to provide a written submission and what input we are seeking) is available on our consultation page.
