How are Olympic designs registered
The IOC allows national Olympic bodies, such as the Australian Olympic Committee, to register certain local Olympic products.
Under the Olympic Insignia Protection Act 1987 (Act), you can't register a design that includes the:
- Olympic rings symbol
- Olympic motto
- Torch and flames design.
In Australia, we maintain the Register of Olympic Designs to protect certain local Olympic products.
