You will soon be able to access PCT reports and notices via ePCT. From 22 July 2022, emails will notify customers when their PCT reports and notices are available via ePCT. This change brings PCT correspondence into line with National Patents, giving customers the same secure self-service experience.

PCT reports and notices will no longer be sent as attachments to emails. By providing links to ePCT rather than attachments we can better ensure reports and notices are safe from loss. This will also bring our process closer to the practice of other IP offices.

As per current practice, the subject line of these emails will still contain the PCT number and the Application reference number. Additionally the name and number of the report or notices will be included.

We understand some customers may have set up email rules to manage correspondence, these may need to be updated accordingly. Two separate email addresses will be used to send these notifications:

pct@ipaustralia.gov.au (showing as MDB-PCT)

Rio-do-not-reply@ipaustralia.gov.au (showing as IP Australia)

We appreciate your patience during this transition.

If you have any questions in the lead up to the change or difficulty accessing your PCT reports and notices via ePCT after 22 July, please contact the PCT Team.
