IP rights and enterprise growth

This report investigates the link between intellectual property (IP) activity and employment growth and turnover in Australian small and medium businesses.


This study examined the characteristics of SMEs (small and medium enterprises) with and without IP rights and links between SME growth and prior IP filing activities.

The IP Rights and Enterprise Growth 2021 report found that after filing for IP rights, SMEs in Australia were more likely to experience high growth than businesses without recent IP filings.
