The Moisture Infused (MI) Pork trade mark has been developed to promote high quality pork products of improved eating quality for consumers, produced from high quality pork, using specialised equipment.
- 1. Fresh pork Primals must meet the Australian Meat Standard AS 4696 for the hygienic production and transportation of meat and meat products for human consumption.
- 2. Brine should only include those ingredients that are permissible for use and at levels prescribed under the Food Standards Code and that are generally accepted within the pork processing industry.
- 3. Packaging materials must meet the industry Regulations.
