The Moisture Infused (MI) Pork trade mark has been developed to promote high quality pork products of improved eating quality for consumers, produced from high quality pork, using specialised equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1. Fresh pork Primals must meet the Australian Meat Standard AS 4696 for the hygienic production and transportation of meat and meat products for human consumption.
  • 2. Brine should only include those ingredients that are permissible for use and at levels prescribed under the Food Standards Code and that are generally accepted within the pork processing industry.
  • 3. Packaging materials must meet the industry Regulations.
