Desiring to maintain the experience and ethos of the authentic farmer's market for stallholders and the buying public alike, VFMA has resolved to create a scheme of certification and compliance based on appropriate commercial standards (the Scheme).
The VFMA Scheme envisages the certification of:
- a controlled range of farm products, value added food and drink products and ancillary non food products
- the farmers, growers, artisan value adders and other producers selling the controlled range in the capacity as stallholders and
- the markets at which they are sold, all in accordance with the requirements of the rules set out in the attached document.
