IP Australia has completed an analysis of our current fees and fee structures which included reviewing all feedback received during our consultation period earlier this year. Several of the submissions have been incorporated into our proposed fee changes which are outlined in the draft Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS). These fee changes reflect IP Australia’s commitment to ensuring our cost recovery arrangements continue to be in line with the Australian Government Charging Framework and addressing recommendations from the Productivity Commissions Report (2016).
IP Australia has also taken this opportunity to review the hearing costs that may be awarded for Patents, Trade Marks and Designs.
The proposed fee and cost changes have now been published for public consultation.
