Issue summary

The current Designs regulation 11.27(5) prescribes a set timeframe for a person to correct a non-compliant document. This period can be excessively long and inflexible depending on the circumstances.

This proposal will allow for efficient and flexible management of time periods by direction, and ensure that a variety of issues falling into this category are dealt with expeditiously, minimising any impact on potential downstream processes such as applications for extension of time.
