Trade marks

Issue summary

A series of trade marks is made of two or more similar trade marks on the same application or registration. Very few series trade marks are filed.

Series trade marks provide no extra protection to applicants, incur a fee and can be a source of confusion regarding what falls within a series. Removing series trade marks may reduce administrative burdens on applicants and third parties.
