Bulk data product update

In late March 2026, we identified a technical coding issue affecting the trade mark bulk data product we provide to third party subscribers.

At IP Australia, we take our responsibility as custodian of the IP system seriously and acted swiftly to pause further releases once the issue was identified.

The issue has now been successfully remediated and weekly uploads of the bulk data product resumed on 23 April 2026.

The coding issue was contained to the trade mark bulk data product and did not impact data published to Australian Trade Mark Search. The issue was not caused by unauthorised third-party access to our systems or a cyber incident.

We have notified our bulk data customers and supplied refreshed data to enable them to update the historical bulk data records used in their third-party systems. If customers have questions, they can contact our customer contact centre on 1300 651 010.
