IP Australia has updated the Patent Manual of Practice and Procedure following public consultation relating to computer-implemented inventions.
The updates to the Manual reflect the Full Federal Court's decision in Aristocrat Technologies Australia Pty Ltd v Commissioner of Patents [2025] FCAFC 131 and our consideration of submissions to a public consultation process (16 March – 17 May 2026).
