The Research Performance of University Patenting in Australia: A Pilot Assessment study examined patents originating from 12 Australian universities and considered metrics such as the:
- Number of patents published
- Technology specialisations
- Frequency of citations of patents in other literature.
From this data we were able to extend our understanding of the relationship between patents and the impact of university originated research.
