ACIP IP review archive

The Advisory Council on Intellectual Property (ACIP) was established to conduct reviews into the intellectual property (IP) system, and to conduct consultations. 

ACIP's history

ACIP was an independent body that conducted reviews and consultations on IP and advised the Federal Minister for Industry and Science, and his Parliamentary Secretary, on IP matters and the strategic administration of our agency.

ACIP's membership came from a wide range of sectors, including:

  • business and manufacturing
  • research
  • health
  • the legal and attorney professions
  • government
  • academia
  • technology and commercialisation.

ACIP was dissolved in 2015.
